Getting started with Corral Works · Lesson 1 of 2 · 4 min

Connect to Advance

Point Corral Works at your Advance environment and verify the connection.

Before you can make any changes, Corral Works needs to know which Advance environment you’re working with. This lesson walks through the one-time setup.

What you’ll need

  • Your Advance environment URL
  • A service account with read/write on the entities you plan to edit
  • Your IT contact’s blessing (it’s a polite ask, not a long process)

Step 1 — Open the connection panel

From the Corral home screen, click Settings → Connections → Add Advance environment.

Step 2 — Enter your environment details

Paste the environment URL and the service-account credentials. Corral stores credentials locally, encrypted at rest. They never leave your machine unless you explicitly sync them.

Step 3 — Test the connection

Click Test. You should see a green check and a count of the entities Corral can reach. If you see a red X, the most common cause is a typo in the URL — check for stray spaces.

You’re connected

That’s it. From here you can preview changes against real data without any risk of writing — Corral defaults to a dry-run mode until you opt in.

In the next lesson we’ll preview a small batch of updates.
