Corral Works does five things well, all centered on the same idea: let advancement staff make small, safe data updates in Ellucian CRM Advance without leaving the tool or filing a ticket.

Search and filter

Find the constituents, gifts, or designations you need to touch using the same fields and lookups your team already knows from Advance. Save filter sets and re-use them — quarterly NCOA imports, end-of-campaign designation moves, post-event roster fixes.

Bulk edit with diff preview

Apply a change to one record, ten, or a thousand. Every record shows you a side-by-side diff before anything is written. Spot the row that looks wrong, fix it inline, commit the rest.

Single-record edit with full validation

Need to fix one record properly? Open it, edit it, see field-level validation as you type. The same Advance rules that protect the database protect you while you're editing.

Audit log and rollback

Every change is attributed to a real user, timestamped, and grouped by batch. Export the audit log as CSV. Roll back an entire batch with one click if you spot a mistake later.

Role-based permissions

Corral Works mirrors the Advance security model. Staff only see the records and fields their existing Advance role lets them touch — no parallel permission system to maintain.

How it talks to Advance

Reads and writes against the live Advance database — no replication, no parallel copy of your constituent data to keep in sync.
Authenticates with your institution's existing credentials (Active Directory / SSO) where you've configured it.
Inherits permissions from the user's existing Advance security role. If they can't touch it in Advance, they can't touch it in Corral.
Deploys to your environment — institutional data stays on your network, on your terms.

Frequently asked questions

Does Corral Works replace Advance?: No. Corral Works sits next to Advance and edits its data. Your team keeps using Advance for everything else — reporting, gift entry, prospect management. We're the tool for the specific work that the Advance UI makes painful.
Where does the data live?: In Advance. Corral doesn't copy or replicate your data. Every read and write goes against the live Advance database, on your network.
What happens if a bulk edit goes wrong?: You can roll back any batch with one click. The audit log shows exactly which records changed, when, and who did it — so even if you discover a problem days later, the fix is straightforward.
Do we have to retrain staff?: Corral Works uses the same field names, lookups, and value lists your team already sees in Advance. Most users are productive in their first session.
